gunil is probably the member i've paid the least attention to so far so i won't even bother to make a rising guess for him but it's really interesting that he shifts straight back into cancer in sidereal and is a pushya of all naks... as a sidereal cancer but in ashlesha it's fitting. this configuration of cancer / gemini / leo is quite literally my sidereal chart so it's ironic that i've kind of looked over him so far

anyway, ardra venus/mars makes sense — he seems like someone who feels his emotions to the max and doesn't quite understand how to turn them off or adopt a fitting demeanor for professional situations and ardras are anything but professional. to have it as his mars is kind of sad honestly like Lol you're literally suffering. but ardra's shakti is the power to make effort and push through but also embrace struggle which theoretically best manifests itself in mars!

notable aspects: sun conjunct moon, mercury conjunct rahu, mars conjunct venus. in particular the magha rahu/merc conjunction is somewhat ironic because magha is a ketuvian nakshatra which represents the detachment from physical being and directly opposes rahu which represents attachment and addiction to the material world and to have it on his mercury is an added layer of struggle to withhold empathy when necessary. this guy's a mess. 6/10 chart xx

okay i knew jungsu's chart would be the one with layers and levels and intricacies etc because i feel like you can tell he's a complicated (or at the very least Carefully Hidden Away) kind of person. or maybe it's just me overanalyzing kpop boys. the point is: this chart is fucked up for a multitude of reasons

i'm not surprised to see mrigashira influence on his chart like i think mrigs are very easy to spot in the way they express themselves with genuine kindness. what makes mrig such a fascinating nakshatra to me is that it focuses on needing isolation to grow the same way chitra does—kind of like a lone journey? but because his mercury is retrograde... i'll have to think about this a little more.

what kills me with his chart is that rx scorpio mars. sorry to be like this but the way i was viscerally reminded of jakeshim (who has a rx scorpio venus) as soon as i looked at jungsu... it's just so real. it's especially malefic in jyestha, which is considered a tikshna nakshatra, but indicates good wealth and fortune only if he can release his emotions in a healthy manner. a retrograde significantly complicates that.

anyway i don't know shit about this man but i'm assigning him a tropical capricorn rising because of his attitude. thank you for your time. specifically in the purva ashadha nakshatra, which would place his ketu/south node in the first house... pretty significant honestly. although now that i think about it tropical libra / sidereal virgo is pretty good too, especially in uttara phalguni or hasta... anyway i wasn't planning on unironically ranking charts but now i feel like it so 6.5/10

said this on tl already but i get so irritated when we find out an idol's moon can't be determined without a birth time only to see that the moon in question sits right next to all of their other placements because it makes guessing that much more difficult. like in other cases (see jungsu's for example, since his moon sits right between magha and purva phalguni) it's way easier to see where personality traits associated with the moon differ from the rest of the chart. but gaon already has an abundance of capricorn and aquarius placements which makes finding the way his moon manifests quite difficult.

either way this chart depicts a person who is likely much lonelier than they let on. which is a bit shocking at first getting into xdh and seeing gaon compared to the rest of his members—he's literally unhinged which is why i've decided to bias him xx no but seriously it's obvious that he's a big feeler and that he seems to think this gets in the way of his personal relationships and endeavors which is very much a classic capricorn/aquarius trait (saturn = rules and restriction)

the whole restriction aspect of saturn is also very applicable with how he's such a science nerd because mars is pretty much free to roam in pisces' dreams and idealizations, and because mars represents taking action on things it makes a pisces mars native incredibly creative and good at getting their thoughts and ideas to take shape. but because pisces is idealistic by nature it can also make them sluggish so the addition of all that saturn is actually beneficial because it allows him to hone his discipline while also nurturing his creativity. i'm particularly fascinated by his shravana mercury; i haven't been able to find many shravana idols but when i do it just makes sense. they tend to be extroverted but analytical, and in mercury this is intensified because mercury represents how we express our active mind, so shravana mercury people tend to be the type of people you probablyyy don't want to get into an argument with.

assigning him a tropical leo rising because i got an intense amount of solar energy from him and was genuinely surprised to see he didn't have any leo placements—although you could hypothetically attribute this to his uttara ashadha placements because uttara ashadha can either be in the saturn or jupiter rashi (capricorn or sagittarius) but as a nakshatra is ruled by the sun either way. but i'm definitely thinking early leo rising / sidereal cancer rising / punarvasu or pushya, preferably punarvasu... i'm just chintapping over whether or not 6H placements fit his personality but then again... i literally just got into this group. anyway 6/10

haha heyyyy seungmin are you free when i am :) in all seriousness his tropical chart is so unhinged and i'm kind of obsessed with it like just objectively speaking. i talked about this when i was discussing sunoo's chart in some other post that i won't bother to link because i'm too lazy but i feel like the combination of gemini and cancer just gets you places in the idol industry, which is pretty clear when you look at the most famous dancers in kpop i.e. taemin, hoshi, taeyong, etc. and interestingly enough seungmin is one of the only members who actually did some idol training and learned how to dance... and the other person he trained with was jungsu, who is a cancer sun, gemini venus... do you see the vision.

overall i've attributed this consistency in placements with the fluidity that cancer and gemini provide—cancer is a water sign ruled by the moon, which reflects off of others and kind of "absorbs" traits in a sense that they can understand and empathize with others easily, and because of this it's almost like they can wear the masks of others to better understand them and subtly shift their personalities to accommodate. gemini, by contrast, is an air sign ruled by mercury, and it plays copycat too but in a very analytical way. "what does this have to do with dance?" the answer to this is that dancing is all about picking up moves and understanding how the body flows, and cancer and gemini excel at this.

it's pretty important to note that cancer is the one that switches to sidereal gemini whereas tropical gemini switches to tropical taurus so i would definitely associate a lot of this energy with cancer (taemin and taeyong are cancer suns + hoshi is a gemini sun so late that it stays in gemini even in sidereal) whereas seungmin's gemini placements all switch to taurus and even though he has tropical cancer anyway the taurus influence is so real and personal to me. i'm specifically thinking about his moon—he has a higher chance of being a rohini moon than a mrig moon and i definitely see it because rohini's shakti is the ability to take root and grow and they're represented by the very essence of every taurus stereotype ever aka slow-moving, quiet but stubborn, magnetic but humble, nurturing, etc. and amidst the chaos of seungmin's chart this rohini moon is very much needed, especially with his krittika mercury/ardra mars, two nakshatras known for their sharp tongue and almost cruel demeanor

i think seungmin also has a chance at being a tropical leo rising but when it switches into sidereal i'd give him ashlesha and not punarvasu/pushya like gaon—i think it's pretty easy to spot the difference lol. as for scorpio rising, i'd give him swati or vishakha as his rising naks. this would make him ruled by his punarvasu venus which... yeah. in comparison an ashlesha rising would make him be ruled by his rohini (or mrig) moon. 9/10

i've never seen such a shy chart before. like i know that sounds weird but this chart is so unsure of itself it's actually a little hilarious

one might wonder why i would say that when he's literally a leo sun sagittarius moon, both of which stay in leo and sagittarius when they shift into sidereal, but it has a lot to do with how these individual energies react to the rest of the chart. because magha and mula are ketuvian they want the native—in this case, junhan— to embrace separation of the soul and the self in search for spirituality or one true answer, which is why mula uproots traditions (jupiter = expansion) and magha is meant to detach from the ego aka the sun. but it's a lonely journey and ketu is malefic by nature even if it represents what we excel in during this life so combined with junhan's hasta venus i think it makes him take on a very isolationist mindset by instinct, like he doesn't quite realize how closed off or antisocial he seems to other people

on top of this he gets stuck with an ashlesha mars which causes him to form a defensive shield around himself due to ashlesha's sensitive nature. i think his uphal mercury/hasta venus help him be cordial in conversation but ashlesha is kind of aggressive and mars already dislikes being in cancer so it's double the suffering. it causes junhan to be secretive, critical and very, very guarded with others no matter how social they are.

that being said i think this chart is really good for creativity especially with hasta venus seeing as hasta represents all that we can do or make with our hands, and uttara phalguni makes for a pragmatic mind and warm aura that helps others become comfortable with him even if he might not be comfortable with them in return. 8/10 just because it's so fascinatingly awful

the amount of qrts that jooyeon specifically has on nugustrology's xdh placements thread is so funny. pov you're scrolling down the list thinking to yourself that there should never be this many cancer and gemini placements in one spot and then BOOM sexy scorpio venus virgo mars at your service

that combination is pretty popular among idols actually, especially the 98z scorpios (atz hongjoong, skz minho, tbz changmin, etc) so it's great to see it again but in the 02z virgos which just made me realize that this might be the first time i'm actually stanning an 02z virgo... well i can't remember at all but to my knowledge it is. anyway this chart is disgustingly charming with a private side that only few see—while i personally think he's a vishakha moon that doesn't change the interpretation much in terms of how comfortable he might feel being open because all sidereal scorpios are literally just like that, but imo his sidereal leo sun / libra venus / leo mars really help to give people a sense of openness even if he isn't doing anything

this is an artistic chart but in the sense that it's extremely necessary for him to Be creative and artistic because he has a tendency for letting his feelings overwhelm him. i personally think he's a purva phalguni mars but i don't really have a reason for it—where magha detaches from the sun, purva phalguni embraces it wholeheartedly and enjoys flowing through life with elegance and contentment so basically they get bitches and jooyeon is literally doing just that. i don't have much to say with his chart just that i like it a lot! 9/10 one point docked for the hasta mercury because why are you, as a man, a hasta mercury. feel better soon etc etc

1. it's sooo interesting what you said about gunil's ardra placements because in the latest xdh begins ep (#7), gunil mentions that his goal is to be a good influence to the people around him. and then they show a clip of them practices where gunil Shouts "you KEEP-" and then goes "sorry for getting riled up" and laughs it off before continuing good-naturedly.

it's what immediately came to mind when i read through this part. he's also talked about how he wants to work towards being a leader that can be stern when he needs to while still getting along with the band, which i think is a reflection of the merc/rahu conj you talked about.

2. JUNGSUUUUUUUUUUU oh jungsu jungsu baby what do we do with you. i watched a vlive of theirs the other day and i think that was where you could rly see (at least to me) more of the complicated parts of his chart.

like there’s this bit where he’s explaining that, in order to emote more while singing, he’s decided to watch dramas and movies to get in touch with his emotional side. which, in itself, is something to think about. but what caught my attention is that i think gaon and jooyeon were joking amongst themselves during this, though i don’t think they were doing it to be mean. jungsu Did end up feeling hurt though, i think it was quite visible too. he said something about he’s really serious about this and jooyeon replied, “this is my first time hearing of it” and jungsu goes “well of course it is, i was thinking about this all by myself!” and then, like gunil, he immediately apologises right after saying, “sorry, i got too mad.”

LIKE THE ATMOSPHERE ISN’T AS TENSE AS YOU MIGHT THINK but that’s entirely because gaon (unlike jooyeon imo, i say this with love<3) knows when to cut it out + gunil always comes in immediately to unruffle all feathers and get things back on track; he said it’s good that jungsu’s serious and told him to go on and, after that, wld keep telling everyone (wink wink) to pay attention when another member is speaking.

I DIDNT MEAN FOR THIS PART TO GET SO LONG BUT . OKAY ! anyway. retrograde charts always show<3 etc etc

3. haha…ha..hm. ahem. in the previously mentioned xdh begins ep 7, gaon talks about how he’s someone who thinks So Fucking Much when doing things like he’s always worrying about what if this happens, what if this goes wrong, what if…on and on. which makes me think aqua/cap as his tropical/sidereal is the way to go.

i have no other insight to offer here, i just wanna say that he really is such a smooth talker. jyp begrudgingly pointed this out to him but, regardless of what his inner thoughts are like, he talks confidently and calmly without making it seem like a facade. like you know celebs who you’re like, Logically i know you have a public persona but it also doesn’t really feel like you do. it’s different from wooyoung where he’s just rly good at making it seem like he doesn’t. also different from sunwoo where his public persona is him taking the casual, bratty parts of himself and maxing out the dial.

okay but seriously i haven't delved into xdh content yet so the way their charts are manifesting in real time as content drops and we learn about them is seriously so fascinating + exactly why i love getting into groups right as they debut because the visible growth that occurs is the best thing ever 2 me. specifically losing my mind over JUNGSU?! as soon as i saw the jyestha mars rx i screamed and cried and etc like i know nothing about this man but i am still so damn curious.

interesting that you pointed out how junhan's chart would be interpreted without using sidereal or vedic because i feel like some of the shiest people tend to be leos, especially the 3rd decan ones like junhan. and like we were talking about the other day it's really important to use caution with interpreting the sun because junhan being a leo doesn't mean he's automatically obnoxious and cwazy and leaderlike, it just points out that this is an energy he consciously strives towards
